HMCS FRASER

HMCS FRASER.....it was the second ship that I served on in 1989 and 1990(only 2 years)..it was a "steamers" and in 89,it was called one of the cadillacs of the navy
I do not remember too well of my time on HMCS FRASER,but what I know,I will write....
HMCS FRASER was built in Vancouver and lauched in 1956 at CFB Esquimalt(where I worked from 1999 to 2004)and comissionned in 1957
the 10 or so years of her history was held in the pacific ocean before moving on the east coast in 1966
After a refit in 1966, HMCS FRASER made history in numerous occasion , last time was in 1989 when she saved some british sailors in the atlantic ocean, I was part of the crew in 1989 and was the boat coxswain at that time.
After numerous sailing, exercise with US navy and other countries, HMCS FRASER did her last "sailpass" in october of 1994..
For that historical moment, I was onboard for that day(I had a special permission from my CO at that time to go on that ship, HMCS NIPIGON's CO)
